Announcing the Winter 2012 All-Around AU Awards!

Rules:

Fic can have any word count

Fic can be posted for any length of time- it doesn't matter if it's a day old or five years old

Fic must be marked complete at the time of the 1st round judging

Fic can be any pairing or any theme

Fic must be totally AU (example: everyone is a talking dog, Len is a girl, story set in the 12th century)

Fic can be posted anywhere: personal blogs, fanfiction.net, Live Journal, websites, etc.

Fic MUST be accessible! No password protected websites

Proper grammar but be implemented according to the Grammar Guidelines

Summary must be included! 

Fic can be rated G-R (K-M) but NO NC-17

Fic must be rated correctly as defined by FictionRatings or the MPAA

Judging Process:

Round One Panel: Fics are checked for minimum requirements and compliance. NC-17 or fics with a D rating in Grammar will at this point be removed. Fics in the wrong category will be moved.

Round Two Voting: Fics go to public online voting. 

Round Three Panel: Top three from public voting are judged by the Round Three Panel. This is an unbiased point-based judging system. Deductions include but are not limited to grammar, spelling, plot holes, writing quality, and non-cannon compliance. 

Round Four Final Review Panel: Final review and reasons for deductions are released from Round Three Panel to Round Four Final Review Panel. The Round Four Panel reviews these scores and reports for neutrality. 

Round Five Results: Winners are released to the public. 

Important Dates:

Nominations open January 1st. Nominations are officially open.

All nominations must be submitted and fics marked complete by March 15th, 2012. 

Voting opens March 22nd, 2012. 

Voting closes March 29th, 2012. 

Winners announced April 1st, 2012 and Spring 2012 Awards will begin.
